Super Over Produces Kings XI's First Win

Wow... yesterday we witnessed the most exciting match of the tournament, between CSK (Chennai Super King) and Kings XI (Punjab). Both the teams ended their innings at 136 after 20 overs, and finally Super Over came into the picture as the decider. This was the first Super Over of the IPL season 2010. The first ever Super Over of the IPL was played between KKR (Kolkata Knight Rider) and RR (Rajasthan Royals) in 2009.

Kings XI Punjab pulled the match off while chasing a moderate 10 runs in 6 balls. Kings XI recorded their first win of the season when Yuvraj Singh played an audacious reverse sweep off the fourth ball of Muralitharan's Super Over.

Score of Super Over:

(Morkel 1*, Raina 8, Hayden 0)
Bowler: Juan Theron

Kings XI: 6-W-0-4
(Mahela 6, Yuvraj 4*, Pathan 0*)
