Final Session becomes crucial again after twin tons by Sachin- Sehwag

Final session of the day has become crucial once again here at Eden Garden, Kolkata. Near the end of the day's play, India lost 3 wickets for just 11 runs... two of them are very big, well settled centurion Virendra Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. Before that the duo added 249 runs for the third wicket and kept South Africa wicketless for 57.4 overs. Sehwag made a stormy 165 (his 13th 150 plus score) and Sachin completed his 92nd international century (his 4th in last 4 tests).

Earlier in the morning South African last pair added 35 runs for the last wicket to extend their total from 266 runs to 296 all out. India ended the second day of the match at 342 for the loss of 5 wickets with VVS Laxman and night watchman Amit Mishra as the not out batsmen.

Now India should capitalize the situation and extend their lead with Laxman at crease and captain MS Dhoni still to come next.

Three more days left, so no chance of a draw... decision is certainly in the cards, courtesy a stormy innings by Viru.

Brief Score:

India 342 for 5 (Sehwag 165, Tendulkar 106) lead South Africa 296 (Amla 114, Petersen 100, Zaheer 4-90) by 46 runs
