Australian Sports Stars show safety concerns

One more sports star shows safety concerns to participate in the New Delhi, Commonwealth Games. The Olympic Gold medallist, Australian swimmer Stephanie Rice said she would consider the security measures for the players in Delhi, before decides to take part.
"It's something that I have to give serious consideration to," Rice told the Herald Sun.
The glamourous, queen of swimming just wanted to see the situation of the city in the coming months, if there is any serious or credible risk, then she will have to rethink about coming to the sub continent.
Last week another Australian, discus throw World Champion, Dani samuels said she was prepared to skip the New Delhi Games over security fears.
Meanwhile, Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Stephen Smith reached Delhi to check security arrangements for the Games. He received an assurance from Indian Home Minister P.Chidambaram about the security measures for Commonwealth Games. He looked very much impressed with the preparation being undertaken across the city while visiting Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, the main venue of the Games.
