India held their nerve to clinch a last ball victory over South Africa in the first ODI of the series at Swai ManSingh Stadium, Jaipur. Once again South Africa recovered superbly but their fighting went in vain finally, four days back we saw South Africa losing the 2nd test match against India after fighting for 131.3 overs and just 9 balls before closing of the match. Yesterday we saw an unbelievable comeback by a superhuman partnership between number 9 and number 10 batsmen, Wayne Parnell (49 runs from 47 balls) and Dale Steyn (35 runs from 19 balls) after losing the wicket of captain Jacques Kallis in the 43rd over, requiring 74 runs from 43 balls. But South Africa once again failed to hold their nerve in the crunch situation and finally lost the match by only one run.
Brief Score:
India 298 for 9 (Raina 58, Sehwag 46, Karthik 44, Kallis 3-29) beat South Africa 297 (Kallis 89, Parnell 49, Jadeja 2-29) by one run
Man of the Match: Ravindra Jadeja
