Invention of T20

Twenty20, or T20, the latest format of cricket, started way back in 2003 in England to get english county spectator back to the stadiums. It was Mr. Stuart Robertson and Mr. John Carr who were asked to revive the more than 100 years old sport in its motherland by the England and Wales Cricket Board. After doing a detailed market research they realized that a 50 over game was too long to hold interest in the new generation people. They came up with this latest format of the sport, an abbreviated 20 over version of the gentleman's game. Their research got success in getting the crowds back and very quickly it caught the fancy of the cricketing world.
