Indian Football is advancing towards top 100


India gained one spot from previous month to end the year at 134th in FIFA World Rankings released today. India, who began the year at 142nd, now has 158 points.
It lost five points from the previous month. The country is though at 23rd in Asia behind Yemen and ahead of Maldives, whom they beat in the SAFF Championships final on Sunday.
Australia remains the best-ranked Asian nation at 21st followed by Japan (43rd) and Korea (52nd). Spain remains number one in world rankings ahead of Brazil, the Netherlands, Italy and Portugal in the top five.
